Jones draw up an Answer thereto and present it to the House
to Morrow Morning for Approbation

Holland and Colo
Coursey from
his Excellency & Council enter the House and deliver Mr
Speaker the following Message.

By his Excellency the Governor and Council in Assembly
December the first 1708

Four of the Members of this Board are ready to join in the
Conference proposed immediately at Mr Freeman's
Signed p Order W Bladen Cl. Co.

Then the House appointed Colo Charles Greenberry, Capt.
John Mackall, Mr Robert Skinner, Mr Daniel Mariarte, Major
George Gale, Mr Samuel Worthington, Colo
Nicholas Lowe,

and Mr Robert Ungle Members of this House to join in Con-
ference with the Members of her Majesty's Honble Council
relating to the Privileges granted by Charter to the City of
Annapolis and were ordered to withdraw accordingly. Then
the House adjourned till to Morrow Morning ten O'Clock

Thursday 2nd December 1708

The House met according to Adjournment Being called
over were present as yesterday except Colo
Coode, Wornell
Hunt Esqr & Thos Bordley Esqr Colo
James Maxwell a Mem-
ber returned for Baltimore County enters the House and Mr
Covington and Mr Crabb, sent up to his Excellency and Coun-
cil to see him sworn
They return and say they saw him sworn.

The Gentlemen of the Conferrence enter the House and
report how far they had proceeded in the Business and desired
Leave to sit again which was granted and they were ordered
to go out thereon

Smith and the Gentlemen appointed to prepare an Ad-
dress in Answer to his Excellency's Speech enter the House
and present the same to Mr Speaker which being read and
approved ordered that it be sent to his Excellency and Council
as follows

By the House of Delegates 2nd December 1708

May it please your Excellency,
This House hath considered your Excys Speech to us at the
Opening this Session and return your Excellency our hearty
