Which said twenty four Bills were read assented to and sent
to the House by Col Hammond and Col Jenkins
The Council adjourns till the Afternoon

ing bills from the House

A Bill for Relief of Creditors against Bankrupts

A Bill confirming the last Wills and Testaments of Charles

A Bill for appeals and Writts of Error
Major Lowe brings from the House what shall be good
Evidence to prove foreign and other Debts
The Board adjourns to nine of the Clock to morrow morning

The Council Sate Present as yesterday
Mr Wells brings from the House the following bills
A Bill prohibiting Liquors to be carryed to Indian towns
A Bill imposing 3d p Gallon on Rum
A Bill for recording all Laws
A Bill for securing merchants tobacco and others after
received
A Bill for taking special Bayl &c.
Advised by the Council and ordered by his Excy the Gover-
nour that Col John Hammond take into his Care and Custody
the Prize of L'ortolent with the Cargo and by publick Sale
dispose thereof to the best Advantage keeping the produce
thereof in his Hands, and to be accountable for the same
when his Excy shall have Instructions out of England Concern-
ing the same
The Council adjourns for two hours
