Mr Thos Frisby and Seven other members of the House
bring the said Proclamation with the following Endorsement

By the House of Delegates Sepr 18th. 1704
The within Proclamation was here read and approved of by
the House who give their hearty Thanks to his Excy for his
pious Resolutions Contained therein and will concur to our
utmost to Encourage and promote the same

The Board desires his Excy to order the sd Proclamation to
be printed
The Board adjourns to nine of the Clock to morrow morning
Tuesday Sepr 19th. 1704.
Council Sate Present as yesterday
Produced and read his Highness Prince George the Lord
high Admirals orders to Capt George Rogers Commander of
the Gasport to Return for England
And whereas the said Capt Rogers Expects her Majestics
Ship Jersey under the Command of Capt Smith from new
England will be ready to Join him at New York by the Eighth
of October to Sail for England and does promise to take care
of what Ships by that Time will Come under his Convoy from
Virginia and Maryland It is therefore advised and Resolved
by the Board that the Ships now ready to Sail and that can be
got ready in time be cleared and permitted to Sail giving bond
to Join the sd Man of War at New York.
Came Mr Mackall and Mr Foulke with the resolves of the
House upon several of her Majesties royal Instructions which
were read and approved of by the Board.
Col Smallwood and diverse other members bring from the
House the following Message Vizt
By the House of Delegates Sepr 18th. 1704.
By a paper read in the House we perceive what your Excy
was pleased to Say to two Popish Priests on the occasion there
mentioned and as all your Actions so this in particular gives
us great Satisfaction to find you generously bent to protect
her Majesties Protestant Subjects her against the insolence and
Growth of Popery and we are Cheerfully thankful to you for it
