the above Amendments made they may endure for a small
Time till Books may be had to transcribe them. All which
is humbly referred to the Consideration of the House
Signed p Order Thos Jones Clk.

And its further represented to the House that of our own
Observation we find the Records in General are not so care-
fully looked after as they ought to be being made Use of for
Seats for the Clerks and laid upon and used instead of Desks
and Tables to write on And we humbly offer to the House
that as for the Transcripts made into new Books and others
repaired we think it highly necessary that the Secretary main-

tain the Records both in Transcripts and Repairs at his proper
Cost & Charge and that this House appoint a Committee to
inspect the same every Session of Assembly or as often as
the House shall seem meet All which we humbly submit to
the House Samuel Young

Which being again read and debated this House think it
highly necessary the Records aforesaid be repaired and tran-
scribed. And thereupon its resolved by the House that Mr
Samuel Young and Mr Charles Greenberry be and are ap-
pointed to treat and agree with some Person to transcribe
and put such Records in Repair as they shall see necessary to
be done and examine and see the same perfect as intimated
in the said Report and likewise examine such other Tran-
scripts of Records that shall be transcribed anew : For which
this House will make Satisfaction according to Agreement
by them made.
Mr Joseph Hill, Mr James Hay, and Mr William Aisquith
are appointed a Committee for Elections and Privileges and
ordered to withdraw upon that Committee and was delivered
to them an Indenture returned by the Sheriff of Prince
George's County.
Proposed by a Member whether Mr Bordley be satisfied for
his Services on a Committee appointed to hear and report
the Difference between Colo William Holland and Capt. Rich-
ard Smith by the Country or not ? And resolved the said
Parties satisfy the same
The Committee of Elections & Privileges make their Re-
port indorsed on the Back of an Indenture for Election of a
Delegate for Prince George's County as follows

April 16th 1706 By the Committee of Elections and Privileges.

It is reported to the House of Delegates that upon Exam-
ination of the within Indenture the within mentioned Robert
