Likewise ordered the following Message brought in by Colo
Lloyd & Colo Holland be read and entered Viz.

Die Jovis 24o May 1705 By the Council in Assembly

In Answer to yours by Mr Frisby & Mr Skinner we say we
have no Assurance that the Chief Men of the five Nations will
come down to Susquehanah to treat with us on failure whereof
it will be absolutely necessary our Commissioners go to them
to Albany that we may be certainly assured of their Friendship
or what else we may expect from them having been already
kept too long in the Dark

Which being read in the House the following Message was
ordered to be prepared Viz.

By the House of Delegates May 24th 1705

The Message by Colo Lloyd & Colo Holland of this Day
being read in the House and in Answer to which the House
humbly conceive that it's more convenient & of less Charge
to the Province first to send a Messenger forthwith up to the
Seneca Forts to invite them down to Conostoga & to know
of a Certainty whether they will there meet or not on their
Failure this House will concur with what is proposed in the
Message Signed p Order W. Taylard Cl. Ho. Del.

Which being read & approved of was sent up to his Excel-
lency by Capt Richard Jones.
He returns & says he delivered his Message
Bill for Sale of Edmonson's Land &ta Ingrossed Indorsed
Read & assented to by the House of Delegates.
Sent up to the Council by Mr William Aisquith.
He returns & says he delivered the Bill
Ingrossed Bill for the Exportation of Benjamin Celey
Read & assented to by the House of Delegates

their Honours for Assent
