In Answer to yours by Mr Frisby & Mr Skinner we say we
have no Assurance that the Chief Men of the five Nations will
come down to Susquehanah to treat with us on failure whereof
it will be absolutely necessary our Commissioners go to them
to Albany that we may be certainly assured of their Friendship
or what else we may expect from them having been already
kept too long in the Dark

The Message by Colo Lloyd & Colo Holland of this Day
being read in the House and in Answer to which the House
humbly conceive that it's more convenient & of less Charge
to the Province first to send a Messenger forthwith up to the
Seneca Forts to invite them down to Conostoga & to know
of a Certainty whether they will there meet or not on their
Failure this House will concur with what is proposed in the
