The House met again according to Adjournment & Being
called over were all present as in the Morning & John Contee
took his Place.

mond Esqr was read & ordered to be entered Viz.

By his Excellency the Governor & Council in Assembly
Die Veneris 18th Die May 1705
Gents. The several Papers herewith sent will serve to
acquaint your House with what Disturbance has been given
the Country by the Means of Richard Clarke of Ann Arundel
County & his Accomplices with their horrid Projects & trea-
sonable Contrivances which we desire you will maturely
consider & advise how to prevent & secure the Province from
such Disturbances & future Injuries so long carryed on and
so plainly threatned Signed p Order

Likewise was read Several Papers & Depositions relating to
the said Clarke the Consideration whereof is further referred.
Thomas Ennalls & William Coursey Esqrs from the Council
enter the House and delivers Mr Speaker a Petition of Robin
Indian & Chief of the Indians belonging to the Indian Town
at the Head of the Indian River in Somerset County com-
plaining of being disturbed and expulsed from their several
Settlements &ta and praying a Confirmation of their own
settled Town; indorsed as follows viz.

The within Petition of Robin Indian, & other Indians being
read his Excy & the Members of this Board are willing to
comply with their Desire and recommend to the House of
Delegates that they will consider thereof and by some Act
of Assembly or other Means secure them in the quiet &
