They return & say they delivered their Message.
Ordered the following Ordinance be sent up to his Excel-
lency & Council Viz.

By the House of Delegates December 7th 1704.

Upon reading the Proposal for erecting the Pews in St Ann's
Church in Annapolis for the Assembly this House resolves
that Mr Samuel Young provide Plank, Nails Scantling & other
Materials for erecting setting up & finishing such Pews &
he seeing the same finished & compleated this House resolves

he be paid & satisfied for the same out of the publick Stock if
his Excellency & Council please to concur therewith.

Bill for Limitation of Officers Fees read with the Amend-
ment in the last Clause Viz. (after three years) and do pass p
especial Order.
Sent up to his Excellency & Council together with the fore-
going Message by Mr Joseph Hill. He returns and says he
delivered them.
The Honble John Hammond & Kenelm Cheseldine Esqrs
from the Honble Council enters the House and delivers Mr
Speaker the following Ordinance Viz.

By the Council in Assembly December 7th 1704.

This Board is very ready to agree to any Thing the House
proposes but think it for better that you will now agree with
an Undertaker who may immediately set about it and since
the Cubiloe is not to be built Mr Bladen, the first proposer is
willing on better Advice in Case the Country will give him the
Materials saved out of the Fire which appertained to the old
Court House to undertake it for a thousand Pounds Sterling
to which we desire your Concurrence believing it will Save
both Money & Time.

Which being here read & upon further Debate & Consid-
eration this House concur with the Honble Council.
William Coursey Esq. enters the House & delivers Mr
Speaker the Ordinance about the publick Pews indorsed.
