Ordered That the Clerk of this House inspect the Journals
of last Sessions & draw off the several References to this
Session and lay before the House in the Afternoon for further
Consideration.
The House adjourns till two of the Clock in the Afternoon

The House met again according to Adjournment, being
called over were present as in the morning.
A Letter from Mr William Stone a Member of Charles
County praying Excuse for his non Attendance being read
the House accepts of his Excuse he being ill & not capable
to travel.
Ordered by the House that his Excellency's Speech be
again read pursuant to the Order in the Morning ; which
being done It's resolved it's absolutely necessary that a House
be built as moved in his Excellency's Speech for Accomodation
of the Public &ca
Ordered That Mr Edward Dorsey, Mr Samuel Young,
Mr Edward Blay, Mr James Philips, Mr Robert Tyler, Mr John
Taylor, Mr John Wells, Mr Joseph Gray do view & inspect the
Ruins of the Stadt-House & make Report to the House if the
Walls now standing are fit and sufficient to be rebuilt upon
& call any Workman to advise in the Matter.
According to Order of the Morning the Clerk produces
the several References.
The Reference of the publick Post read. This House con-
ceiving the Weight of Business lying before them and Unsea-
sonableness of the Year, therefore the Consideration thereof
is further referred till next Assembly. An Article relating to
the Members of the City of Saint Mary's referred to this Ses-
sion & producing the Charter: This House resolves it does
not properly lie before them.
The Petition of John Nicholls for Sale of Land of William
Edmondson dece'd referred to this Session ; Ordered it be
