fear of the Act which is desired by Several to be extended
for one year more
18. That the Act of Assembly for punishing fornication
and Adultery be Explained when a man's estate shall redeem
his Body
19. That all County Levys and Vestries Accounts be
yearly laid before the Governour and Council for their In-
spection
20. That all Freemen be obliged to give a good Account
of themselves how they gain their Livelyhoods or in default
of being able to give such account the Justices of the County
Court be impowered to place them out to work and make
Corn at such Wages as to the said Justices shall seem rea-
sonable.
21. That this Assembly would consider whether it would
not be of publick Service to settle a publick Post of each side
of the Bay between New Castle and Virginia
22. That in the Act for Electing of Delegates a Clause
be inserted to punish Persons having no right to Vote that
disturb Elections and that the reasons may be enquired into
why St Maries City should send two Burghesses and if it were
not fitt to Encourage this Town being the Seat of Govern-
ment with that Privilege
23. And all protested Bills of Exchange should be Equal
with Specialties and be recovered by Action of Debt.

Saturday September 9th 1704.
The Council Sate Present as Yesterday

Then was read the Petition of Capt Richard Johnson who
had surprized and brought in the Prize L'Ortolons praying
some share thereof or Allowance thereout to which his Excel-
lency was pleased to say he was very unwilling to dispose of
any part thereof till better informed. Therefore her Majes-
ties Council did advise that the said Johnson should be
creditted to the Value of two hundred pounds Sterl out of
