all monies to be levyed be made lyable to be accounted for
to her Majesty in England and her Lord high Treasurer and
that no Imposition on liquors continue less than one Year
but be indefinite without Limitation of Time (except for
a temporary end which shall have its full effect within a cer-
tain time) that no Laws be reenacted except on urgent occa-
sions but in no Case more than once without her Majesty's
express Consent.
2. That all Planters and Christian Servants be well and
fitly provided with Arms and that they be listed under good
officers and when and as often as shall be thought fit mustered
and trained whereby they may be in a better readiness for the
Defence of the province and that they appear in Arms at all
times as they shall be required upon which we do propose
that this Assembly would oblige them who pretend for Con-
science Sake they cannot bear Arms to Supply others with
Horses and Arms.
3. That a Law be made to punish false musters mutiny
and Desertion and for the better preserving good Discipline
amongst Soldiers
4. That fitt Storehouses be settled throughout the prov-
ince for keeping arms Ammunition and other publick Stores
5. That a general Survey be made of the whole province
and of every County and of all Landing Places and Harbours
& exact maps transmitted for England and that fortifications
be erected at the publick Charge in which the cheerful Con-
currence of the Assembly is not doubted
6. That Stocks be provided and publick Workhouses
built in Convenient places for Employing poor and indigent
people
7. That an Act be prepared to relieve the Creditors of
persons becoming Bankrupt in England and having Estates
in Maryland
8. Further you are desired to make Answer to the Lords
of Trade and foreign Plantations Letter with the Lord Bal-
timores Objections to the two Acts of Assembly the one for
ascertaining the Bounds of Land and the other for limiting
the Time for payment of Obligations within this Province
9. Likewise it is recommended and proposed whether it
may not be proper to make a Law to confirm all Proceedings
since the Departure of his Ex^cy Col Blakiston to his present
Excellency's Arrival and also of the last Assembly
10. That it be enquired by this Assembly and ascertained
what Laws and Statutes of the Kingdom of England are in
force in this province and that measures be taken to have the
Several Acts of Parliament of every Sessions sent from
England
