said Oath shall be Administred by the severall and respective
Navall Officers or their Deputys thereunto especially appointed
And if any person or persons whether Inhabitants or non resi-
dents shall put on board any ship or other Vessel any ffurrs
or Skinns for which he she or they shall not have paid the
Imposition aforesaid or given good and Sufficient Caution for
the same to the Navall Officer of the Port or place from whence
such ffurrs or Skinns shall be shipp'd as aforesaid or to his
Deputy for the time being and a Certificate from under the
hand of such Navall Officer or his Deputy produce for the
payment or Caution by him given for payment of the Imposi-
tion aforesaid he she or they so offending shall forfeit and
loose all his her or their ffurrs and Skins so Shipped as afore-
said One half thereof to her said Majesty her heires and Suc-
cessors for the use aforesaid the other half to him or them
that shall informe or sue for the same to be recovered by
Action of Debt bill Plaint or Information wherein noe Essoyn
proteccon or Wager of Law to be allowed.
And that the Master of any Shipps or Vessell that shall

willingly or knowingly take on board his said Ship or Vessell
any Skinns or ffurrs as aforesaid for which the party or partys
Shipping the same shall not produce a Certificate as aforesaid
being thereof lawfully convict shall forfeit and pay the sume
of five thousand pounds of Tobacco One half thereof to her
Sacred Majesty her heires & Successors for the uses aforesaid
the other half to him or them that shall informe or sue for the
same to be recovered as aforesaid.
And that the Severall and respective Navall Officers of the
severall and respective Ports may and are hereby Authorized
and Impowered when and as often as he or they shall think
fitt to enter into any Shipp or Vessell trading to and from this
Province and into any house warehouse or other building and
open any Trunk Chest Casq or ffardle and to search to make
in any part or place of such shipp or Vessell houses or build-
ings as aforesaid where such Navall Officer shall suspect any
furrs or Skinns to be as aforesaid for which no Account is
given or duty paid as aforesaid and upon finding any such
ffurrs and Skinns unqualified for exportation as aforesaid them
to Seize and have Condemn'd as by this law is before directed.
And be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid by and
with the Advice and Consent aforesaid that from and after the
publication hereof as aforesaid All persons not being Inhabi-
tants of this Province exporting out of the same any Pork
Beef or Bacon shall pay unto her Sacred Majesty her heires
and Successors for the use in this Act before mencond and
expressd the severall impost following (that is to say) for
dryed beef and Bacon twelve pence the hundred weight and
