shall Kill any Unmarked Swine above three Months old if not
upon his or their own land or not in Company with his or their
own Stock shall and is hereby adjudged a Hogstealer And
shall be lyable to restore fourfold and suffer such corporall
pains as against the first Offence in this Act is mencond.
And to prevent any Person or Persons concealing or dis-
figuring the Mark of any swine killed as aforesaid
Be it further Enacted by the Authority Advice and Consent
aforesaid that any person or persons killing any such unmarkt
Swine in the woods or else where and shall wilfully disfigure
the mark or cutt off the Eare of such Swine so as to conceale
the true and reall marke or whether it were marked or not shall

be deem'd and adjudgd a Hogstealer within the perview of
this Act and shall suffer accordingly.
And to prevent the abuseing Hunting or Worrying of any
Stock of Hoggs Cattle or Horses with Doggs or otherwise.
Be it Enacted that if any person or persons whatsoever that
have been Convicted of any the Crimes aforesaid or other
Crimes of evill ffame and dissolute living that shall shoot Kill
or Hunt or be Seen to carry a Gunn upon any persons land
whereon there shall be a Seated Plantation without the Owners
leave having been once before warned shall forfeit and pay
one thousand pounds of Tobacco One half to our Sovereign
Lady the Queen her heires and Successors the other half to
the party Grieved or those who shall sue for the same to be
recovered as aforesaid.
And the better to imprint the Pains and Penaltys of this
Law into the Minds of all Sorts of People and to prevent the
Comitting any such crimes & Offences aforesaid
Be it also Enacted that this Act shall be publiqly read four
times a year in every Parish Church of this Province at the
time of a full Congregation either before or after Service by
the Clerk or reader of such Church under the penalty of One
thousand pounds of Tobacco forfeiture to our Sovereign Lady
the Queen her heires and Successors for the use of the Parish
to be paid or recovered of every such Clerk or reader so

neglecting.

And be it Enacted by the Authority Advice and Consent
aforesaid that every Clerk of the severall and respective
County Court of this Province be and are hereby obliged ex
officio to deliver unto the severall Clerks of their Parishes
within their Countys a fair Copy of this Act for publishing and
reading as aforesaid.
