Money when yor honrs know All the Account wee haue of the
designe is dark and Uncertaine And such As Wee Are not
Absolutely to relye on
Wee heartily Wish Wee could Concurr with yor honors in
All things for the Good of the province And Wee shall be
Allways as ready as any to raise money Where the necessity
of the province requires it which in this wee cannot perceive.
Therefore since Wee shall Not say or do Any thing in the
Name of the province without Your honors in Conjunction
Neither shall wee medle with the Address without Your honors

Sent up to his Excy ahd Councill p Mr George Muschamp
& Mr Robt. Tyler with the Address and the Aboue Message
Endorst upon the same.
They returne and say they deliverd the same.

By the house of Delegates Septr 27th1704.

The Greatest part of the bills having past Yor honors Assent
And this house the next Materiall Matter offerring to our
consideration is Selling the law for Regulation of Officers fees
And therein of the charge of the Great Seale of the laws of
this province for the future On Which wee desire to know
whither yor honors think it most proper for the dispatch of
business to proceed by drawing the bill or by Message &
Answer, or by Appointing A Conferrence with some of this
house and Your board either of Which or in any other reason-
able method Wee are ready to proceed in.

Which being read and debated is Approovd of & Orderd
that Mr Henry Coursey And Mr Iames Maxwell carry up the
same to his Excy & Councill.

They returne and say they deliverd the same.

The bill providing What Shalbe Evidence to prooue For
reigne & other debts &c. read And orderd to be thus Endorsd.

By the house of Del Septr 27th 1704

The last Clause is Explaind And the clause is to restrain
the Extravagant Manner of mens prooving Accounts by their
owne oaths which has introduced too much perjury in the prov-
ince And Which Yor honors Complaind on At the beginning
