Custody for All fees due to Your peticonr and other officers
an Accot of which is herto Annexd And Altho by the sd pro-
vinciall Court an order was made that in case the said Harts
former Master paid not his Criminall fees and Accepted his
Service for the same Yor peticoner should keep the said Hart
without Jmprisonmt fees from that time till the next County
Court for prince Georges County in November follo And then
present the said Hart to the Justices of that Court to be
Adjudg'd or disposed of as they thought fitt for satisfaction
of the fees. But the said Harts Mar one George Iones Ab-
solutely refused to pay the fees And denied to Accept the
Service of the said Hart And the Justices of prince Georges

County refus'd Any ways to intermeddle therein so that the

said hart lyes Still in yor peticoners Custody And is A great
burthen and charge to him not being capable of Getting his
livelyhood.
Your peticoner therefore most humbly pray's the direction
of this honoble Court for his releife in the premises And that
by an order of this house he and other Officers may be paid
their lust fees out of the publiq
And will ever pray etc.

Which being read and debated in the house This house haue
Againe Resolvd that the Aboue fees be paid by Prince Georges
County At laying their next leavy and that the neglect thereof
will be taken as contempt to the Authority of this house.

And that An ordinance be prepar'd and sent up to the honob
Councill for their concurrence to that Purpose Vizt

By the house of Delegates
Sept 22 1704

Upon reading the proceeding of this house and the returne
of the Iustices of prince Georges County this house are of
opinion that the said County ought to haue paid the said Fees
by Vertue of the afd order And now haue Againe Resolved
that the said County pay the same the neglect whereof will be
