Towne fence in good repaire, the said Mr Valentine, made
Answer that he will for the future use his endeavour to per-
forme the same and do what els belongs to the duty of his
office to the Sattisfaction of All persons Concernd.
Mr Wm Bladen Clk of the Councill enters the house and
delivers Mr Speaker the Severall Writts of Election (Somer-
sett County only Excepted)
Orderd they be laid by till calld for
Order'd that George Muschamp Esqr and Mr John Taylor
Attend his Excy in Councill to Acquaint him that Mr Speaker
& the rest of the members are ready to Attend his Excy when
he please to comand them
They returne and say they deliverd their Message And that
his Excy was pleasd to signify to them that he should be ready
to receive them in a Small time and that he would give the
house notice thereof
Soone After the Honoble Iames Saunders Esqr enters the
house and Acquaint'd Mr Speaker that his Excy required him
and the rest of their Members to give their imediate Attendance
on his Excy at the Councill Chamber
Thereupon Mr Speaker and the rest of the members At-
tended his Excy and Councill in the Councill chamber.
Then his Excy was pleasd to signify to the house the reason
of their being now calld togeather by speaking to them As
follows vizt
Mr Speaker and You Gent Delegates.
The reasons why the last Sessions was so short and Con-
sequently so little of the publiq business finished, J presume
can be no new things to this present Assembly And as most
of her Majts Royall instruccons were postponed to this meet-
ing J cannot doubt of your Advise and ready concurrence in
those weighty matters so heartily recomended by her Gracious
Majesty the Queen to your Serious consideration
Gent, they shall be severally laid before you being thought
by her Majty and her noble wise English privy Councill to be
Absolutely necessary And Advantageous to Your Countrey
and her Majts Royall Sanction to the laws revisd and Enacted
now will eternize the "prudent Conduct of you Gent delegates.
I dare Assure you there can't be any thing maturely pro-
posed for the reall Good and prosperity of this province but
her Maty will Assent to it with All the Cheerfull Willingness
becoming the Royall Beneficence of so good a Queen and am
as Sure will be displeasd to finde any Slye insinuacons (that ill
grounded Iealousys may foment to the disadvantage of the
publiq) should render what her Majty Graciously design'd for
your wellfare and happy Establishment inefectuall.
