X. future to such things in fine may it please your Lordships there design is not only against that Law but establishing protestant Religion here and that there might be no more Countenance Given to it now under his Majestys Govt then was under the Lord Baltimores who was a papist & as they say so it was Liberty of Conscience to all without publk Countenance to any but we are assured as by his Majestys matchless Valour & Conduct he preserved our Lives & For tunes from Destruction no less our Religion also & we hope to enjoy both & at the same time permit the Quiet Exercise p. 249 of Dissenters in theirs While they will use it with peace & Quietness with which we will beg your Lordships pardon for intruding so long upon your patience & beg leave to Sub scribe Your Lordships most humble & Obedient Servants Hen Iowles Ino Addison Tho Brooke Tho Tasker Ino Hammond
Then read his most Sacred Majestys of the tenth of Feb ruary 1699 to his Excellency the Govr relating to Pirates &ca directing them to be secured with their Effects & sent either for England or tryed here as the People were inclined to punish or acquit them And thereupon his Excellency is pleased to say that he does not know of any such at present within this Province but if any hereafter should be apprehended here all due Compliance shall be given thereto Read the Right honblë the Commsrs of Trade Plantations their Letter to his Excellency dated the 16th of February last concerning Denizations & Naturalizations to which this Board are pleased to say that they do not know of any Dezinations granted in this Province by his Excellency the Governor Read the Postscript of their Lordships said Letter wherein they advise the Govr that Captain Henry Munday Master of the Ship John Hopewell of Lond a Trader into this Province being upon the coast of Guinea in November last was met by a Pyrate who robbed & Plundered him & that nine of the said Captain Mundays men run from him to the Pyrate who was named Henry King & formerly used the Pensylvania Trade Ordered that Proclamation issue to apprehend & Secure the said Pirate Henry King & Captain Mundays men in case they happen to come into these Parts
