occasion to suspect wee take this oppertunity to acquaint you B. M. as our Agent therewith Desireing you to be very diligent Vol. 26 watching his motions and if he shall offer anything on his own behalfe or otherwise in prejudice to this Government or our Governr who wee are truely sensible hath demean'd himself with that apparent loyalty good Conduct prudence & Integrity to the Honor of their Majtyes and the Generall Sattisfaction of the whole Countrey that wee are bound to pray for his conti- nuance amongst us and cannot well hear of any ill against him wee desire you will appear on our behalf to defend the same by representing to their Majtyes the Lords of the Com- mittee or wheresoever it shall happen to be the True and Genuine character wee have given you of the one and the contrary disposition of the other not unknown wee presume to you and most people of the Revolution wherein he did in noe small measure demonstrate his Inclinations and aversion to the present Constitution and frame of Governmt which he sufficiently declares to be still his Resolution in Countenance ing favouring and associateing himself with none but Papists and others of the disaffected Party their Majesties known Enemyes who take the freedome in his Company and pre sume if not by his advice and Encouragemt to drink healthe to King James, and frequently amonge one another to the man that must have his mare againe a by-word they have to express their Desire of a Change & the Restitution of King James to the Crown which they feed themselves with the hope of seeing Effected before before May day we have two many of that hue amonge us, God preserve their Maties and con found the wicked Expectations of such their Enemyes and deliver us from their hands, by our next wee shall Endeavour to furnish you with what Evidences or other substantiall proofs wee can for your better Managemt of this and all other matters committed to your Charge and in the mean time wee rest, Sr, yor humble Servants N.
