        Lib. M.  At a Council held at the House of his Excellency the Gov

                 ernor in the City of Annapolis on Tuesday the 17th Day of

                 February in the fifteenth Year of His Lordships Dominion

                 &c Annoq Domini 1729

                    His Excellency Benedict Leonard Calvert Govt

                 The Hon-     Charles Calvert Esqr   Benjamin Tasker Esqr

                 ourable      Coll Richard Tilghman  Philip Lee Esqr

                              Coll M: Tilghman Ward   

                        

                        Members of His Lordships Honble Council.

            

                   His Excellency the Governor acquaints this Board that He

                  has received His Ldps Instructions appointing the Honoura

                  ble Charles Calvert Esqr to take Place at this Board next to

                  the President, His Lordship's Brother, whereupon the sd

                  Charles Calvert took his Place at this Board accordingly

                   His Excellency the Governor signifying to this Board, that

                  he has nothing of Momt to lay before the Assembly, which

                  stands prorogued to the fourth Tuesday in March next being

                  the twenty fourth Day of the same month, desires their Opin

                  ion, when will be a proper Time further to prorogue it to,

                  who say that the third Thursday in May next being the

                  twenty first Day of the same month is the most Convenient

                  Time; whereupon a Proclamation being ordered, issued ac

                  cordingly in the following manner

                   By his Excellency Benedict Leonard Calvert Govr & Com-

                  mandr in Chief in and over the Province of Maryland

            

                              A Proclamation

            

                   Whereas the present General Assembly of this Province

                  stands prorogued to the fourth Tuesday in March next being

                  the twenty fourth day of the same Month, and whereas there

                  is no Business of Moment, which requires their Attendance

                  at that Time, I have therefore thought fit with the Advice of

                  his Ldps Council of State further to prorogue the same:

                  And I do hereby further prorogue the same to the Third

           p. 20  Thursday in May next being the twenty first Day of the same

                  month, And to the Intent that all Persons concerned may

                  have due Notice thereof I do strictly require and Command

                  the several Sheriffs of this Province to make this my Procla-

                  mation publick in their respective Counties in the usual man

                  ner as they will answer the Contrary at their Peril Given at
