                      Afternoon                 Lib. X.

      This Board meet again and are present as in the forenoon

      Whereupon the said Indians are again sent for who appear

    again before this Board

      Whereupon his Honor the Governor speaks to them

    thus vizt

   

   

      We are very sorry to hear that you have had a Loss of so p. 4

    many of your people which we look upon as a loss of so

    many of our friends but before we give you a full Answer to

    that matter we desire to know if you have any Orders from

    your Kings to renew the old Treaties of peace and Friend

    ship between us and your Kings

      The said Ghesaont Answers thereto and says that he had

    Orders from the Kings of the Senequas to treat with the

    Governor of Pennsylvania at Conestogo then with the Gov

    ernor of Maryland and so to Virginia and that the Indians

    hereabouts had agreed to cut of that Town in Case they did

    not make them satisfaction for the Injuries done and said

    that they had Orders to renew the Old Articles of Peace and

    that they are willing to have it done that they may Carry it

    with them to Virginia and that as they came back from

    thence they would let us see what they had done there

      The Governor appoints to meet again in Council to Morrow

    morning

   

   

          Saturday Morning August the 19th 1721

      This Board meets again and are present as Yesterday

      Whereupon the said Indians are again sent for who Appear

    again before this Board

      Thereupon his Honour the Governor speaks to them thus

    vizt

   

   

    My Good Friends

      Because you came from your Kings to renew the Old Arti

    cles of peace with us we receive you as our Friends with all

    our hearts and are ready to renew those Articles and to

    brighten the old Chain of Friendship betwixt us that we may

    Continue Friends as long as the Sun & Moon endures

      As to the Indians of Virginia we know nothing of them p. 5

    nor what peace is made betwixt our Brothers of Virginia and

    those Indians but we are very sure if those Indians have done

    you any wrong that that Governor who is a just and good

    man will endeavour to make them Indians give you good

    Satisfaction
