      At a Council held at the City of Annapolis on friday the p. 1

    18th day of August in the 8th year of the Reign of our Sover

    eign Lord King George and the 6th year of his Lordships the

    right honble the Lord Proprietarys dominion &c Annoq

    Domini 1721

    the honble Colo M. L. Ward Council.

              James Bowles Esqr

      The several Indians that came to treat about a peace with

    the Province being sent for appear before this Board Accom

    panied with Annatoquin a Great man of the Nanticoke Indians

    and with several others of that Nation

      Whereupon his Honour the Governor is pleased to be

    speake them as follows Vizt

   

   

    My Friends

      I am very glad to see you as coming from my Good Friends

    the Senequa Indians and am ready to hear what you have to

    say to me from those our Good Friends

      Which Indians on enquiry are said to be of the Senequas

    Nation Onondagoes Nation

             Ghesaont          Tannawree

             Awennoot Cayoogoes Skeetowass

                        Sahoode

      Ghesaont the chief Deputy from the Senequas Kings says p. 2

    he is very glad the Governor and comes as our very good

    Friends to see us

   

      The Governor asks whether they have receiv'd a parch

    ment or paper with the Great Seal sent to them by Towena

    who answers yes and that it is sent up to the chief kings

      The said Ghesaont produced the following pass vizt
