            C. P.  Members of Our Privy Council and House of Delegates for

                   this Our Province of Maryland Greeting.

                    Whereas Our certain Writts of Election Issued directed

                   and sent into the severall Sherriffs of Our Province bearing

                   Date the Sixteenth day of February last past thereby empow

                   ering them to call together Three or more Comissioners of

                   the respective Countys one whereof to be of the Quorum,

                   with their Clerk, to sit as a Court, and during their Sitting,

                   by virtue of their Office, to make or cause to be made Publick

                   Proclamation, thereby giving Notice to all the Free Men of

                   their said Countys, authorized by Law, to Appear at a certain

                   day and Place to be appointed for the Electing and choosing

                   four Delegates or Representatives for each of their Countys,

                   and to the Mayor Recorder and Alderman of the City of

                   Annapolis to choose two for the City to Serve at a Genrll As

                   sembly to be held at the City of Annapolis the twenty third

                   day of April Instant as by recourse to Our sd Writts being

                   had, may more fully and at large Appear. But for certain

                   Causes & Considerations us thereunto especially moving

                   We do think fit to defer Put off and Prorogue the sitting of

                   the said Assembly untill the twenty fourth day of this Instant

                   April and the same is hereby Prorogued Accordingly, Whereof

                   You and every of You are to take due Notice, and no wayes

                   to faile meeting at this Place on the said twenty fourth day

                   of April aforesd Given under Our Broad Seale of Our said

                   Province this twenty first day of Aprill 1716 in the first Year

                   of Our Dominion over the sd Province of Maryland Witness

                   Our Trusty and well beloved John Hart Esqr Our Capt Genrll

                   and Govrnr In cheif of Our sd Province of Maryland & the

                   Territories thereto belonging.
