His Exncy says he has already sent his Directions to Capt St Lib. W. B. Low Comandr of his Matys Shipp Valour Who in few hours p. 43 will be ready to saile for Virginia according to Col Spotswood Desire And as to that part relating to Arms and Ammuni tion His Exncy says he has sent Col Spotswoods Lre to the Comander of his Matys Ship Valour Capt St Low, and desires the Opinion of the Board: what Quantity of Arms may be sent from hence in the said Ship for the Assistance of his Matys Subjects in that Province. To which they say they can not at prsent Answer, beleiving there is not any great Quan tity of Arms and Ammunition in the Publiq Magazine at Annapolis, the rest being dispers'd in the Several Countys for their imediate Defence and Safety. Capt. John Young Master Gunner & Storekeeper of the Publiq Magazine being sent for made Report of the State of the Publiq Magazine and particularly as to the Ammuni tion therein. That there was but thirty halfe Barrells & One hundred and fourteen Quarter Barrells of Gun Powder twenty small Casques of Swan Shott & thirty small casks of Ball. whereupon the Board are of Opinion that this Province p. cannot Spare any Arms or Affiunition. But resolved that Some Arms and Ammunition be forth with sent to the Frontier Settlemts of this Province on Poto mack for the better Security of his Matys Subjects there. And His Exncy was pleased to declare that he would speedily visit those Frontiers for their better Incouragemt

His Exncy is pleased to put the Members of his Matys Coun cil in Mind of what had been offered at this Board on the third of June last, concerning the Indian Invasion on South Carolina, And now acquaint them he had received a Pacquett p. 45 from the Northward for Col Spotswood Govr of Virginia And a Letter from Mr John Moore his MatYs Collector at Philadel phia dated the 4th of July 1715. which He was pleasd to read, expressing the great Distress His Matys Subjects at South Carolina are now in, The Women and Children being re treated to Charles Town, which is one continued Hospitall,
