       At the Council held at the Council Chamber at City of Lib. W. B.

     Annapolis the 13th day of April in the first Year of the Reigne 29

     of Our Sovereigne Lord George by the Grace of God of

     Great Britain France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith.

     &c Annoq Dni 1715.

                          Present

       His Excellency John Hart Esqr his Matys Capt Genrll &

     Govnr in Cheif of this his Matys Province &c.

    

      Th Col Edward Lloyd Lieutnt Col Samuel Young.

           Col William Holland Col Thomas Addison

      Honble

          Col 1 homas Ennals Philemon Lloyd Esqr &

    

                Lieutent Col Richd Tilghman.

    

       His Excellcy acquaints the Gentlemen of the Council that

     he had received a Letter from the Rt Honble the Lord Town

     send one of his Matys Principal Secretaries of State Dated

     from White Hall the thirtieth of November & inclosing the

     following Proclamation. Viz.

    

    

                        By the King

                       A Proclamation

       Declaring his Majesties Pleasure for Continuing the Officers

     in his Majesties Plantations till his Matys Pleasure shall be

     further declared.

                            G.R.

       Whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the Sixth Year

     of the Reigne of the late Queen Anne Our most Dear Sister

     Intituled an Act for the Security of her Majesties Person and

     Government & of the Succession to the Crowne of Great

     Britain in the Protestant Line It was Enacted amongst other

     things tht no Office Place or Employment, Civil or Military

     within any of her sd late Matys Plantations, should become

     void by reason of the Demise or Death of her sd late Majesty

     but tht the Person or Persons in any of the sd Offices Places

     or Employments shou'd continue in the respective Offices p. 30

     places and Employments for the space of six months next

     after such Death or Demise unless sooner Removed & Dis

     charged by us And in regard it may happen tht our pleasure

     may not within the sd Tyme be declared touching the sd Offi.
