Sons may Attend the Duty & Service of the Day I Do Lib. W. B. strictly command them on that day to Absteine from all Bod ily labor & repair to their severall Parish Churches where the Reverd the Clergie are enjoyned not to faile attending & reading Divine Service Rendring all Thanks & Praise to Almighty God & Preaching Sermons suitable to this joyful Occasion And to the End all Persons may have due Notice hereof and Conforme themselves according thereto I do hereby comand the Sherriffs of the Respective Countys within this Province to Publish this my Proclamation in the most usual & frequented Places of their Severall Countys Given at the City of Annapolis under the Great Seale of this his Majesties Province the twenty ninth day of October in the first year of the Reigne of Our Sovereigne Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c Annoq Dni 1714. Maryland ss: p. 23 By His Excellcy The Captaine Genrll A Proclamation. Whereas by the late Act of Unfformity wch establishes the Liturgies & Enacts tht no form or order of the Comon Prayer be openly used other than wt is prscribed & appointed to be used in & by the sd Book. It is notwithstanding Provided that in those Prayers Littanies and collects which do any ways relate to the King Queen or Royal Progenie the names be altered and Changed from Tyme to i'yme & fitted to the pTsent occasions according to lawful Authority And their Excellcy the Lords Justices of the Kingdom of Great Britain having by their order in Council dated at Kensington the first of August last ordered tht the following Alteration be made In the Morning Service imediately after the Creed & Lords Prayer Instead of Queen read King In the Prayer for the Queens Maty instead of Lady Queen Anne read Lord King George In the Prayer for the Royal Family instead of the Elector of Brunswick, read his Royal Highness the Prince. In the Evening service the like to be observed In the Littany in the suffrages for the Queen instead of Anne & Queen read George & King, for Her, read him & his & for she read He In the suffrages for the Royal Family instead of the Elector of Brunswick read His Royal Highness the Prince In the Prayer for the Parliamt instead of the Queen read the King instead of her read his In the Comunion service in the first Collect Instead of Anne Our Queen read George our King, instead of she read he & instead of her read his & him In the second Collect instead of Anne read George Instead of Queen
