B. lying dispersed in Sundry Countys and not being upon Exe cution is not worth above 5 p Ct take it alitogether on both sydes the Bay the Sallary of 10 p Ct for collecting being de ducted, And very often those Lycences are ill payd being they who keepe Ordinarys are very poor psons in meane Circumstances, and their Securitys not in much better, and many of them for keeping ill Orders often put down before the Fynes become due. However his Exncy and this Board being willing to give their Lordships the Right honble the Lords Comissioners of Trade & fforraign plantations the best Satisfaction they can to the nice value of the said Sumes of tobo sent for Mr Amos Garrett Mercht Who is one Lau- p. 134 rences Agent or Attorney this Province And desired he would tell them what he would be willing to give therefore Who made Answer that taking the tobo on the One syde of the Bay and the other he would not give more than five shillings p Cent so that it appears Sr Thomas Laurence has made a farr larger Estimate of the yearly Value of those Lycences than they really amount to, Since that taking them One yeare with another they amount not to more than £25000 ls tob Which even at Mr Garretts Computation at this tyme when tobo seems to be more in demand than for severall years last past, there being a considerable Quantity of Ships in the Country Amounts not to more than £62: 10 0 Sterl p An nu. His Exncy asks the Councill what will be the best and prop erest tyme for the meeting of the next Assembly, with all considering that there must be forty days between the days of the Teste and Returns of the Severall Writts of Election. And thereupon It was advised & Resolved that Writts of Election imediately issue as of this day that the Assembly sitt on the 27th of Sept next Ensuing And that Lres be wrote to p. 135 the Severall Sherriffs to adjourne the pole to the Center of their Countys that all the Free Choice of their Repre sentation It was humbly moved by the here, that Whereas this Governmt judiciall notice of the Union of her Kingdoms of England & Scotland into name of Great Brittain, and of the Alteration of her Matys Royall Stile being no longer called Queen of England Scot land &c But Queen of Great Brittain &c that the Board would be pleased to consider whether it be not absolutely necessary All Civill Comissions especially those respecting the Courts of Justice should be under the prsent Stile of her Matye as Queen of Great Brittain &c least the Omission thereof should not only be Assign'd as Error in the said
