    Majestys Service to wit the increase of his Revenue that the   Lib. X.

    Vessel be in a capacity to make a Voyage for England

      Then came Captain Thomas Lovett before the Board And

    being asked whether he was Contented with the Iudgment of      p. 170

    the Court of Admiralty or had any intention to appeal to his

    Majesty in his most honble Privy Council he says he has no

    such Intention but Submits himself wholly to his Excellencys

    Kindness & Favour and understanding what had been con

    sidered on his behalf he returns his humble thanks to his Ex

    cellency therefore

      Ordered that the Charges upon Seizure & Condemnation

    of the Briganteen be adjusted & when discharged that a tenth

    part of the Clear prize be paid to Colonel Mitchel who gave

    notice of the Arrival of the Vessel

      Ordered that publick notice be given that whosoever gives

    Information of the Breach of any the Acts of trade and Navi-

    gation that such persons for their reward shall have a Tenth

    part of the prize if Condemned

      Whereas his Excellency has promised in case the Assembly

    agree to make an Hospitall at the Coole Springs to give to

    wards it 25 l Sterl he does declare himself well Satisfied in

    that the Briganteen is Condemned which he hopes is Sufficient

    Punishment to deter the Owners from any further illegal

    Trading & that he does not desire any private Advantage

    thereby to himself & will remit Captain Lovet his third part

    provided he pays thirty pounds to the poor at the Cool Springs

    towards building the Hospital before mentioned which is to

    be in Lieu of his Exccys promise of 25 l to that use

      To the which Capt Lovett was Consenting & gave his Ex-

    cellency many thanks for his Generosity & kindness

      Ordered that Geo Plater Esqr his Majestys receiver of the

    District of Putuxent take care to see the Vessel And Cargo

    appraised and his Majestys Part Secured
