Present p. 344 The honble Tho Tench Esqr President Robert Smith Esqr Lt Col Wm Holland the honble Colo John Hammond & Colo Edward Lloyd James Sanders Esqr Rec'd Mr Joseph Holt late Rector of Wm & Mary Parish in St Marys County his Letter to the honble President praying that the Suspension lately served upon him might be taken off & he be restored to his Ministerial Function in the Parish for the reasons therein Contained also read the address of the Vestry of that Parish on his Behalf to have him restored as likewise a Petition entituled the Petition of the Religious Society of William and Mary Parish & Signed by Adam Bell & Samuel Gresty who call themselves Stewards of that So ciety and say all unanimously Consented This matter having been already referred to the considera tion of his Excy Colo Seymour upon his Arrival who is daily expected this Board do not think fit to alter what has been already done therein The petition of the Justices of the Provincial Court On Behalf of the justices of St Marys County against whom information is exhibited for Levying more Tobo on the inhab itants there than by Law they were empowered the said peti tion referred to the said Iustices of the Provincial Court to use their Discretion therein Joseph Bakers petition read praying the remittance of a fine for not attending as a Juror of the Provincial Court It appearing the said Baker was never summoned by the Sheriff of Calvert County but unduly reterned his Fine is Remitted p. 345 George Plater Esqr & Geo Muschamp Esqr their Petition read praying that whereas they are not paid their respective Sallarys of One hundred Pounds p Ann for being her Majys Receivers of the Fines & Forfeitures &ca within this Province for several years last past now forasmuch as that upon the sugar prize lately brought into this Province by Capt Josiah Moore in her Majestys Ship Oxford there will be sufficient of her Majestys Share thereof in the said George Platers Hands to pay & satisfy their said Sallarys that this Board would so order the same In answer to which petition the Board do not believe it to be in their power to dispose of any part thereof but Order and direct the same to be secured for her Majestys use and
