and Port of Annapolis in Annarundell County the twenty

Sovn Lady Anne by the grace of God of England Scotland
France and Ireland Queen Defender of the faith &c^a Annoq
Domini one thousand seven hundred and four

Were Enacted the foll Laws.

An Act of Recognition

Wee your Majesties most humble and Loyall Subjects of
this your Majesties Province of Maryland The Governeur
Councill and Assembly do beseech your most Excellent Maj-
esty That it may be Published and declared by the Governeur
Councill and Assembly and Enacted by the Authority of the
same that Wee do recognize and acknowledge your Majes-
tyes and of right ought to be by the Laws of The Realm of
England our Sovereign Lieg Lady Queen of England Scot-
land France and Ireland and the Dominions thereunto
belonging In and to whose Princely pson the Royall Estate
Crown and dignity of the said Realms with all honours Stiles
Titles Regalities prerogatives Powers Jurisdictions and Au-
ho rities to the Same belonging and appertaining are most
tully rightfully Lawfully intirely invested and incorporated
united and annexed.
