Represented to the house tht neither Baltemore nor Ann-
arrundell county Burgesses had notice of this Sessions of As-
sembly, therefore ordered a message be sent to his Excy
thereupon, wch followes vizt

By the house of Delegates May the 2d 1704

It's represented to this house the Baltemr nor Annarrundll
county Burgesses had notice Given of this Sessions of Assem-
bly and therefore his Excy is humbly prayed to cause Enquiry
to be made, where the failure has been, that the party faileing
may answer theire contempt, as to his Excys wisdome shall
seem meett

debate matters in the bill for regulateing ordinaryes &c Enters

Att a Conference held att the house of Mr John Freeman in
the Port of Annapolis the 2d day of May 1704

Reasons offered to the members of the house of Delegates
in relation to the bill relateing to the ordinary Keeps (to witt)
to wt use the money arizeing by ordinary Lycences ought to
be applyed to are as followes
1. When Coll Copley was Governr in Chiefe in and over
this Province the then assembly did by the act invest the
profitts ariseing from granting ordinary Lycences, in the
pson of the said Governour and when the said Act of
Assembly was transmitted to England Sir Thomas Laurence
Secretary of this Province did petition the King and Coun-
cill complayneing of some hardship he lay under in relation
