Proposed by a Member whether it be not of Service to the
Countrey that application be made to the Commodore to
Stay some longer tyme to take the remainder of the Ships
under his convoy or not
Putt to the Question whether itt will be of Service to the
Countrey or not Carryed in the affirmatiue, and ordered that
applicaon be made accordingly, and a Message to his Excy
for that purpose follows

Upon consideraon of the Commodores saileing the first
of this moneth, and the assurance that not aboue one third
part of the fleett cann Saile with him soe soone, and that two
frigotts more are dayly Expected, Wee most humbly move
yor Excy and the honble her Majestyes Councill to represent
the same on behalfe of the Province, and pray the honble
Captn Evans Commodore of this Fleet to consider the
prmisses, & take such measures as may be most proper for
her Majestyes Service and Security of the prsent Fleett by
staying some Tyme longer till the Fleett may be ready to
Saile, and the other Frigotts arrive

It has been represented to the house that the Commodore
imported into this Province Sevll Quantityes of Rume, and
some Negroes upon which there is a Duty
Therefore resolved that itt be enquired into of the Navall
officers whether Entry has been made of any & what quantity
Mr Young and Mr Lynes are ordered to make Enquiry wt
Rum and Negro's were imported and Sold here, and tht
they make report thereof to the house forthwith
The house proceed to the settlemt of Naturalizaon fees
