ballance due to her late Husband Mr Richard Beard as herself
& Ordered that George plater Esq her Matys Recr of the Dis-
trict of puttuxent pay her in full therefore the Sume of
Sterl.

May Ist 1704.

Mr Mathew Beard proposes to take care of the publiq
Arms & Amunition & to keep the Arms in good Ordr for
which he is to be allowed twenty pounds per Annum to com-
ence from this Day. Colonel Hamond promises to Inspect
his Managemt & if he does not take care to do his Duty Col
Hamond may Remove him.
His Excy the Governor & the Councill Resolve to go & see
in what Ordr the publiq Arms are kept.
The Board adjourn'd for two hours.

Post Meridiem

The Councill Sate prsent as in the Morning.
Came Mr Tench & Lt Col Holland who were added to the
Board.
Also was read at the Board the House's Letter to Colonell
Nathaniel Blakiston their Agent Which was approv'd of & Col
Holland was sent with the following Message.

Gentn
Your Message by Mr Muschamp & other Members of the
house I have recd & assure you that when I first heard of the
Misfortune of such as were under those Bonds I did use my
uttmost Interest with Col Blakiston [to] serve the country
therein And what is in my power shall not be wanting that may
conduce to the ease & Relief of those under that Distress.

Mr Samuel Youngs petition Read praying one p cent more
comission to be allowd him as he is publiq Treasurer Referr'd
to the consideration of the house of Delegates.
Mr Bradley & other Members bring up the Bill for Naturali-
zation & the Reviving Bills (which were read at the Board
this Morning) Engrossed And they being read & assented to
by her Matys honble Councill were sent to the house by Col.
Lloyd.
Came Majr Greenberry & Mr Young with the following
