At a Council in Assembly held at the Town and Port of
Annapolis in Ann Arundel County the 26th day of October
in the second year of the reign of our most Gracious Sov-
ereign Lady Ann by the Grace of God of England Scottland
France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith &c Annoq.

Ordered that the Clerk of this Board go down to the
House of Burgesses and Enquire if there be a full House
met, who went & being again returned acquainted this Board
that forasmuch as the Speaker of that House was but very
lately come over the Bay and much indisposed in his Health
the House would only be called over this Night so that they
might be in a readiness to attend this Board for her Majesty's
Service to morrow morning
The Board adjourned till nine of the Clock to morrow
morning
Wednesday Octobr 27th 1703
The Board being met pursuant to last night's Adjournmt
Came from the House of Burghesses Majr Greenbery Mr
Hutchinson Mr Bradley & Mr Tilghman
Who acquainted the Presidt that their House was ready
and waited the Commands of this Board and then withdrew
Whereupon ordered that Mr Brook Col Hammond Lt Col
Lloyd & Lt Col Holland go to the House of Delegates and
require Mr Speaker & the House to give their immediate
attendance at this Board. Who went to the House of Dele-
gates & Returned acquainting this Board that they had de-
livered their message
And in a very Short Space came Mr Speaker with the
Members of the House to whom his Honour the President
Spake as followeth viz.
