300 Assembly Proceedings, June 25-26, 1702.

The peticon of James Benson Exr of the last Will and
Testament of Samll Withers decd thereby praying An Act of
sale of the sd Withers Lands towards paymt of the remainder
of his Debts was againe read and considerd Whereupon
the sd Benson being called came into the house and was
demanded to deliver to the house his Account of Administra-
con of deed's Estate and wh Debts were remaining due to
the Creditors that the house might further proceed there-
upon He having delivered the same Withdrew
And orderd that Mr Richard Tilghman Mr John Salter and
Mr Phillip Lynes goe out and Settle the same and to inspect
as well the said Accots of the Estate paid as what accounts
lye out to be paid and make reporte to the house of what
nature and quallity such debts are either publick or private
and to whom and how due and make their reporte thereof to
the house by the afternoone who accordingly withdrew
Mooved by a member of the house that Whereas Severall
Donations and Guifts had been Given to Severall persons in
a Severall manner and noe law provided to declare how and
in what manner it shalbe applyed therefore pray leave to Pre-
pare a Bill for that purpose agt the next Session of Assembly
wch was granted by the house
Mr Thomas Greenfield a member for Prince Georg's County
Mr Phillip Lynes for Charles County and Mr Edward Dor-
sey for Baltemore County enters the house and its Orderd
That Mr Thoms Smith Attend the Councill with them to see
them Sworne who departe.
Mr Thomas Smith returnes and says He saw them Qualli-
fied
Proposed by a member that Mr Richard Beard may be sent
for to render an accot of the Countrey powder

Resolved he be sent for.
Peticon of Christopher Goodhands and others relateing to
the [F]ines of lands & the bounds thereof to be
Accertained
It being debated the house thinks it reasonable that all
prsons concernd have notice thereof
Therefore the consideracon thereof be referred to the next
Sessions of Assembly and
Ordered that Mr Nathan Henson Benja Weeks and Francis
Barnes have notice to appeare here the next Sessions if to
them it shall seem meet
From the Honoble Councill came the Honoble Thomas
Brooke Jno. Hammond & Wm Holland Esqre and Colll Ed-
ward Loyd and prsents the following message to Mr Speaker
