Bill confirmeing the Wrighteing to be Mann's testam^t
Read the I^st and 2^d time and doe pass.
Which two last Bills were sent to his Ex^cy and Councill by
M^r Benj^a Hall and M^r Hugh Eccleston
They returne and say they delivered the Bills.
The Comittee of Laws enter the house and brought in the
proposed Bill for Religious Worship &c^a Referred for reading
to morrow morning.
A mocon of M^r Charles Carroll relateing to grants of land
surrendered to be vacated &^c here offered for Consideracon.
Which is referred till to morrow morning. And The house
adjourned till to morrow morning 7 a Clock.

The house mett againe and being called over were all p^rsent
as Yesterday.
Reassumed a former proposall whether it be not convenient
that a Law be made to direct the paym^t of rent for Orphans
Land, which is referred to consideracon of the Com^ee of Laws
to p^rpare a Bill for th^t purpose.
Coll^o Edward Loyd and James Saunders Esq^r enters the
house and delivers M^r Speaker the foll^o Bills endorsed (viz.)
Bill for Releife Kent and Calvert Countys, endorsed,
March 21, 1701/2 Read the 1st time.

Bill for Confirmeing a Certaine Wrighteing to be the Testa-
ment of Edward Mann. Endorsed March 19^th 1701/2
Read the I^st time.

Peticon of Thomas Reynolds and others on behalfe of them-
selves and the rest of the Shrffs &c thereby praying longer
time to continue in the Sherriffes Office.
Which was here read and Debated and Resolved it be wholly
rejected.
The proposed Bill for Religious Worship, Read and voted
whether the same pass as it came from England or that it be
amended.
Carryed in the Affirmative and ordered that the blanks be
filled up and it be th^s endors'd.
Resolved that it pass without any amendment, and ordered
be read ag^ne this afternoone.
The house adjourns till one a Clock in the Afternoone.
