And the said Mr Young is desired to make a returne of
what Insolvent mulkts he shall find in the aforegoing arrears
to the next sessions of Assembly soe that this house may
further doe therein as shalbe thought Convenient.
Mr Richd Beard being called in, he appeares and being
demanded whether he would hold to his agreement for build-
ing the powder roome according to the former proposalls
made by his Excy and Councill and to raise the roome 2 foot
from the ground on Good blocks or posts, he readyly concurrs
therewith soe that the further consideracon thereof be referred
to the next Sessions of Assembly. It is assented to.
The petition of Mrs Mary Vansweareingen for an allowance
for arrears of ordinary expenses due to her from the publick
was here read and rejected.
Bill for impost of 3d p hhd &c. againe read with the
Amendment. And Resolved by the house that it continue
but two yeares and to the end of the next Sessions of Assem-
bly after the sayd two yeares.
Which was sent up to his Excy and Councill by Majr Wm
Dent and Collo Thos Ennalls. They returne and say they
delivered the same.
The house adjournes till two a Clock in the afternoone.
Post Merediem the house mett againe and being called
over, were all present as in the morning.
Thos Brooke Esqr and Coll: John Hamond enter the house
and Deliver Mr Speaker the Bill for add" duty of 3d p hhd.
Assented to by his Excy and Councill and ordered to be en-
grossed.
The peticon of Edwd Laddemore recomended this house
from his Excy and Councill together with a Bill for Divorcemt
therewith sent was in this house read.
And having considered the same that forasmuch as the
prayer of the petitioner is of soe high a nature that this house
doe not think fitt to pass the bill this Sessions. But have
resolved that if the petr will appeare here the next Sessions
of Assembly and bring with him such witnesses or other evi-
dences sufficient to prove the Elopemt &c then this house
will take it into further consideracon.
And ordered that the petr give notice to Elizabeth the wife
in the peticon mentioned that she likewise then appeare here
to make her defence if to her it shall seem meete.
Mr James Smallwood having shewed his vrgent affaires
Calling him home humbly prayed Liberty of the house to
depart. It being granted he takes his leave and Departs the
house.
