Came Lievt Colo Thomas Smith and Colo John Thompson
with the Journal of the Comittee of Accounts which was
Assented to and Sent to the house by the Clk of this Board
they also bring up the Bill for paying the Publick Leavy wch
was Read and Assented to and Sent to the house by Thomas
Tench Esqr
Came Major William Dent and Says the house request his
Excellency That he will be pleased to draw Orders on the
Treasurer of the Shoar to pay what is Ordered the
Rangers
Came Colo John Thompson from the house & brought up
an Ordinance abt the building of a Prison in the Town of
Annapolis which was Approved of and Assented to by the
Board & sent back to the house by Robert Smith Esqr
The house being Acquainted That his Excellcy Stayed for

were Admitted.
After which These following Bills were produced and laid

An Act for more Speedy obteining Execution against Per-
sons flying out of the County where Judgment is recovered
against them.
An Act for laying an Imposition of three pence per hogshed
on Tobbacco for defraying the Publick Charge of this
Province.
An Act Impowering a Comittee to lay; Assess, and Appor-
tion the Publick Leavy for this present Year 1701.
An Act Investing in the Vestry of St James's Parish in Ann
Arundell County Certein Lands given to the Said Parish
Church by Mr James Rigby and Elizabeth his Wife both
deceased.
An Act Investing a Tract of Land in Dorothy Stephens
sold her by Symon Willmer to her & her heirs for ever.
An Act for Naturalization of Peter Scamper of Prince
Georges County, John Debruler of Baltimore County, and
John Debruler & William Debruler his Sons together with
the other Sons & Daughters of the said John Debruler the
father borne within this Province.

Which said Acts were Assented to by his Excy the Governor
on behalfe of his most Sacred Maty as Laws and Sealed with
the Great Seal of the Province
