Gent. I have now been some years amongst you w^ch has
given me the oportunity to pass my Scheme of Probation with
you, and I will Venture upon all the Severity that reflection
can produce, If I have not been Strictly Just to what I have
first Promised at my Coming into the Governm^t in making
you Easy both in your Persons and Purses and hope to revit
& Cement that friendship which was then Created and I shall
always hold a Sincere & open way of Dealing the most Effect-
ual means to Continue a good Correspondency which will

Equally Conduce to your Satisfaction as well as my Own.
What we are now met to Consult shall be Proposed and
Communicated to you in the usual Method of Message and
Conference, and I am morally Assured you will never faile me
in those Good Expectations I have from you for his Ma^tys
Service and the good of the Province.
Notice being given to the Members returned to Serve this
Assembly and now Assembled att the State house to Attend
his Excellency & Councill att the Councill Chamber accord-
ingly they came up & made the following Appearance.
