Collo Henry Iowles Chancellor Thomas Tench & James Frisby Esqrs the honble Robert Smith, John Hammond Esqrs Jus Tho Tasker, Iames Keech, Tho Staley tices of the Iohn Thompson & Ino Pollard Provl Court Mr William Hemsley having presented to his Excellency a manuscript containing useful remarks as to the Proceedings p. 136 in the provincial & County Courts in this Province & having prayed that it might be imprinted his Excellency recommends it to his Majstys Justices of the Provincial Court & Council at Law for their perusall & opinion & recommends him for bestowg his endeavours for the benefitt of his Country Charles O'Quigleys Petition complaining agst Mr William Harris of Caecil County read & referred to his Majestys Ius tices of the Provincial Court to Examine thereinto The Petitionary Letter of Mrs Elizth Coursey complaining against Mr William Hemsley for using some disingenuity about a Tract of Land left to Colo Coursey's Youngest son but one read And Mr Thomas Coursey & Mr Wm Hemsley being sent for Came And Mr Hemsley says that if any person will enter into sufficient Bond to secure him he will now Submit the matter to Arbitration again The answer of Collo Ennals & Major Hicks to the Chop- tank & Nanticoke Indians Complaint against Collo Cha Huchins & Nehemiah Covington read & referred to further considerations His Excellency is pleased to say that he has been told that Mr Gerrard Sly upon his Tryal yesterday taxed the Kings Evidences with means used to Suboarn them & that he offered Mr Philip Clark to prove nine Articles against him Therefore proposes the said Sly be this day brought before the provincial Court in order to be Examined thereon to p. 137 Satisfy the Country & that Mr Cheseldyn be Summoned which is advised & ordered accordingly
