       John Bozman Haveing Speciall Trust and Confidence in your Lib. H. D.

       Comission of

       Navll Officer fidelity Knowledge & Circumspection I do hereby

       for Pocomoke nominate appointe and Constitute you the said

       District John Bozmane to be Navall Officer of the district

      

       of Pocomoke in Sumersett County within the said Province of

       Maryland hereby Giveing and granting unto you the John

       Bozmane full power and Authority to Act do pforme and

       Execute and and Singular the Lawful powers and Authorityes

       and other things whatsoever Incident to the sd Office of Navall

       Officer aforesd And to take and receive to your own proper

       use and benefitt all Such Lawful fees pquisities & Advantages

       as to the Said Office do in any wise apperteine. To have and

       to hould the Same dureing pleasure Given att the Town and

       Porte of Annapolis under my hand and Seale this 2d day of

       September in the Tenth year of the reign of our Sovreigne

       Lord King William the third of England &c. Annoq Dni 1698

         By his Maty Justices of the Provll Court Sepber 10th 1698.

      

         Haveing pused a Certeine Act of Assembly made in the

       province of Pen silvania Intituled An Act for preventing frauds

       and Regulateing abuses in Trade within that Province of

       Pensilvania and Countyes annexed.

      

         We are of Opinion that the said Law is alltogether repugnant

       to the Severall Acts of Trade and Navigation and Especially

       the late Act of Parliamt in the 7th and 8th years of his prsent

       Matys Reigne King William the third &c And tht if that

       practice should be Continued and allowed of there It will

       much prjudice his Matys Service in giveing so much Liberty p. 224

       there and will give occasion to all falce traders to resorte

       thither and the Traders in that Province will have that Liberty

       given them which we here and other his Matys Plantations

       &c are precluded of and occasion decay in Trade here
