Lib. x. Mr Philip Clark appearing his Excellency tells him that it is sworne the said Clark should report Mr John Cood said he had murdered or made away with Mr Henry Denton late Clerk of this Board for that the said Denton was a material Evidence for the King Mr Clark says he did not say so He & Sly are Commanded in his Majestys name to declare if they have any Body or can themselves prove any of the Articles now read If they can they are Commanded in the Kings Name to prove them before the provincial Court and his Excellency will send summons for the persons they name to be brought before the provincial Court & the lustices shall send their Depositions to the Secry of State under their hands & seals Memd that a Copy of this his Excellencys offer was Delivered them by the Clark of this Board so by him signed Mr Clark say he conceives those Articles only concern the Persons that are the Authors of them, and do not concern him And being asked why he did not prove his petition to Sr Edmd Andros says he could prove every article in that peti tion but one His Excellency is pleased to tell him that if he can prove it he will forgive him Ordered that Mrs Mary Denton go before some of his Majestys Iustices of the provincial Court & upon Oath give an Accot to the best of her knowledge what her Husband Mr Denton died of Ioseph Venours Deposition read giving relation that on the day sett apait by his Excellencys Proclamation for a fast he heard Mr Gerrard Sly say that he went not to church when the Devil proclaimed a Fast

Iohn Hammond Esqr Iustices of the Pro Tho Tasker vincial Court Then came Robert Mason & made Oath to his Accot of publick Treasury on the Western Shore The said Mason also made oath to a List of Bills of Exco amounting to 55 l 19s 6d delivered by him to Mr John Perry decd by his Excellency the Governors order
