J was sent for to Mr Denton who had been sick 9 days before I was sent for to him and he kept his bed 3 days of the same before I came to him, when I came to him I found him Extreme ill of a Malignant ffeavor and he had a very low pulse and his Urine as in time of health which J have always Observed to be a true Symtum of a Malignant ffevor J can and do truly say that I did give him the best remedy's that I possibly Could to the uttermost of my knowledge & skill to remove the Malignaty of his distemper but all my Care skill and Endeavour did prove ineffectuall for the violence of his distemper did gain upon him more and more every day Not withstanding all my Care and Jndustry in looking after him till his days was ended by this Malignant ffeavor, which I Solemnly declare was his Distemper according to the best of my knowledge to which I am ready to make Oath according to the Truth the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth Witt ness my hand. 23° die July An0. 1698 John Hammond.
