Then the said Sly was ordered to withdraw Lib. X. The honble Collo Addison acquainted his Excellency that Mr Greenfield high Sheriff of Prince Georges County presses Men & Horses to carry his common praecepts & private Busi ness up and down the Countrey & asked his under Sheriff why he did not take him to Guard his prisoners & that the said Greenfield contemns the Sheriffs place & saith he gets nothing by it Whereupon it is thought fit that the said Mr Greenfield be no Longer Continued in his said office Read to Collo Iohn Addison & Thomas Brooke Esqr the late proceedings in Council when they were not present who do p. 84 approve thereof His Excellency is pleased to ask the Gentlemen prest if they have any further to Offer for his Majestys Service, who say not. Ann Iuly the 15th 1698 Lib. H. D. Coll Hynson p. 215 Sr By Order from his Excy the Govr and Council You will receive from Capt Iuniper in Order to make up what tht County wanted upon the last dividend of the publique Arms which are what att prsent Came in Vizt one hand mortar 20 Granado shells and Twenty fusies And out of the Dividend of the Arms now come in you will receive fusees 9 Slung fusees 3 worms 1 long pe of Bullett moulds 9 Cartouch boxes & 9 neats leather belts to them 5 bright hatchetts and 3 black ones 4 hand bills one boudge barrell 11 granado shells 11 fuzees for them one Lanthorne one prospective glass one powder Tryer one horse picker & a Compass with a fusee made up for a Sample to you to have the rest made up by. Wherefore You are to Imploy Some Guner of a Ship or other skillful pson to make them up and draw your float upon his Excy the Govr who will see thm payd therefore. You are directed to give a receipt to Capt Iuniper for the said Arms &c. And to send an Other to this place to be lodged Sr I am Yor humble Servt WB:C:C:
1 hand Mortar 2 granado pouches 20 Granado shells Sixty fusees Seaven Cases. To take for Kent 1 hand Mortar 20 Granado shells, 60 fusees Memdm for Coll Hinson to gett Some Capt or Gunner of a Ship to make up the fusees as that sent now and Coll Hinson to draw upon his Excy who will see him payd. Memdm Coll Hinson to have but 20 fusees now.
