         Lib. H. D.     matters or things which have been by the sd Comanders and

               others or any or either of them as well by Commission from

               his Majesty as without since his accession to the Crown taken

               and seized for Prize as belonging to the ifrench King or some of

               his Subjects or some other his Mats Enemies or from Pyrates

               and have been Carryed into Maryland and all or any places

               adjacent and belonging to Maryland aforesd and of the Nature

               quantities qualities Values and proceeds of the Same and for

               wch the sd Comanders and other persons or any of them are or

               ought to be answerable and futher to doe and perform &

               Execute in Maryland aforesd and the sd places adjacent all and

               singular the matters and things which we the sd Henry Earle

               of Romney and John Glover or either of us might or Could

               there do by Virtue of the sd Grant and the Authorities therein

               and thereby given Ratifying and Confirming what shall be

            p. 63  done by our Sd Attorney in or about the prmises by Virtue of

               these prsents; In witness whereof we have hereunto put our

               hand and Seals in London the one and twentieth day of

               August Anno Domini 1696.

               Lawfull Authority admitted and sworne; Doe Certifye and

               attest; That the Copy of the Grant hereunto annexed is a

               True Copy of the Origin” grant to me produced by Mr John

               Glover and to him redelivered and doth Agree with the sd

               Originall being by me Compared; And I do also Certifye

               that the Rt honrble Henry Earl of Romney and the Said John

               Glover did in the presence of me Notary Seal and deliver the

               letter of Attorney aforegoing of wch I have made this Act the

               21th day of August 1696. being thereunto required.
