And George Musehamp Esqr made Oath before two of his Lib X. Majestys Iustices of the provincial Court that in the same Room Mr Sly being in Company Cood told him he was a Cowardly Fool for being for Mr Nicholson that he had pulled down one Government & did not doubt doing the same by this and seemed to Glory much Saying he only wanted an horse to go to Annapolis Captain Clouds, Captain Payne & Geo Muschamp Esqr hav ing made Oath to their several Depositions before two of his Majestys lustices of the Provincial Court the same were delivered to his Majestys Lawyers. The honble Thomas Tench Esqr Judge of the Court of Vice Admiralty on the Western Shore represents that accordg to his Excellencys Order he came up to the Port of Annapolis to hear the Complaint of Mr John Athea Mercht against Captain Giles Wigginer Commander of the Corellis of Londo But that the said Athea made no Complaint to him agreed with Captain Wigginer who delivered him what Goods he demanded The Petition of Alexander Lumley Esqr read & Complain- p. 50 ing against one Patrick Morphew of Baltemore County Ordered that Mr Lumley bring his Proofs thereof The Petition of Ruth Grigs als Mortram read together with the Reverend Mr Peregine Coney his Answer thereto the said Petition & Answer Ordered to be given to Mr Carrol the said Ruth Griggs Procurator His Excellency is pleased to give to the Gentlemen present being the Justices of the Provincial Court & of his Majestys Council at Law an Act of Assembly made in Pensylvania entituled an Act for preventing frauds & regulating abuses in the Trade of that province & Countys annexed & wills them to advise whether the said Act be not prejudical to his Majes tys Service & especially in that Cause Ascertaining the Methods of all Tryals on the several Breaches of the Acts of Trade & Navigation to be according to the Common Practice of the several Courts of Records within that Province by twelve men of a Jury of 12 Men of the Neighbourhood. His Excellency delivers the Accots of the Treasurers of the Western and of the Eastern Shore to Geo Plater & Geo Muschamp Esqr who were directed to send Authentick Copies thereof to the right honble the Lords of the Council for Trade & Foreign Plantations that they may see how the pub lick Revenue of this Province has been disposed of Mr Edward Batson appearing at the Board his Excllcy is pleased to give him a Commission to be a Naval Officer at the Port of Annapolis.
