     Nations this being the Substance of wt he had to Offer on Lib. X.

     behalfe of the Shawkerawques he then acquainted us that it

     was the King of the Susquehannahs Resolution not to agitate

     any thing on the behalfe of himselfe or Nation without the

     Consent of this Governmt desireing theire Result in the mat

     ter so soon as possible with Convenience & tht they might

     receive theire Answer at the house of Capt Hanse wch Reso

     lucon was approved & Confirmed by the Other Nations

     Unanimously resolveing to Act & do no further then what

     this Governmt will Consent Unto in genll desireing the Amity

     & Peace between thm & this Province may stand firm & good

     as formerly whereupon they shook hands with us in token of

     the Sincerity of theire Affections so we drank our Kings

     health & his Excys & shook hands with thm & pted friendly.

        Inclosed is an acctt of our Proceedings with the Indians att

     the head of the bay wch we could not possibly sooner pforme

     by reason of the Indians were not come in I give your Excy

     further Acct that the Susquehannah King was by the Naked

     Indians last August taken Prisoner & was by sixty of the

     same Indians brought within one days Journey to his own

     Town with great Honr home againe inclosed likewise is an

     acct of Some News from the Northern Parts wch lately The p. 198

     Lyceners of New York is very much Countenansd by the new

     Govr & tis Reported tht Coll: fletcher goes home a Prisoner I

     have not further to Offer but tht 1 am
