                424 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1696/7-98.

           

            Lib. x.   upon Receipt of any debt or debts Acquittances or other

                discharges for me and in my name to make Seal and deliver

                Attorneys one or more under my said Attorney to make and

            p. 199    Constitute and the same att his will and pleasure to revoak

                and make Voyd Compositions or Agreemts with any Debtor

                or Creditor to me to make Compound and Agree for me

                and in my name and also to bargaine sell and deliver all or

                any my goods or Chattells wtsoever in Maryland according

                to Instructions herewith left with my sd Attorney and finally

                to Act pforme Execute and do all things Necessary and

                requisite in the prmisses as fully Largely and Amply as I

                myselfe might or Could do If I were psonally prsent hereby

                promising and engageing to Ratify allow and for ever hould

                firme and Valid all & wtsoever my sd Attorney shall Lawfully

                do Act or Execute in the prmisses by Virtue of these prsents.

                  In Wittness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal

                this twenty third day of May in the Tenth year of the Reigne

                of King William the 3d &c. Anoq Dni 1698

                ways Concerne Sr Thomas Lawrence Barrtt his Matys prin

                ciple Secry and Notary Publique of this Province Sendeth

                greeting whereas his Excy ffrancis Nicholson Esqr his matys

                Governor & his Matys honble Councill have given leave to me

                the said Sr Thomas Laurence to go for England for the

                recovery of my health And I the said Sr Thomas being

                desirous that all psons wtsoever may in my Absence be

                Supplyed with all necessary Matters whereof the Execution

                belongs to my Office of Notary Publique I have made Con

                stituted Ordained and Appointed And I do by these prsents

                make Constitute ordaine and Appoint Thomas Collier of

                Talbot County gent to be Duputy Notary Publique of the

                said County hereby giveing unto him the said Thomas Collier

                all and Ample power & Authority to Act do pform & fulfill

                all & singular the Act & Acts Attestations Protests and all

                other necessary matters that have usually been pformed or

            p. 200    ought to have been pformed in the said Office in as full and
