houses are in and how the publick Records of the Lib. H. D. Counties are kept: what grievances in Generall they want to have redrest or any thing else fitt to be imparted; p. 623 and that the Delegates of those Counties where any Indians are resident do informe themselves well about them, in what Order or condition they live. And that the Sherriffs give likewise notice to the Gentlemen by Act of Assembly appointed for deciding differences betwixt the English and Indians that they omitt not to send an account by the Delegates of their Counties what Occurrances they have met wth since their being Empowered, and what state the Indians are now in; And lastly the Sherriffs are hereby obliged to give abstracts of the particulars of this Order to the severall persons concern'd where necessary, and to signify to them his Exncyes strict charge for their making due & proper returnes to the severall particulars therein mentioned, wch they are to send up by the Delegates of the Assembly before whome he is intended to lay the Same; And hereof they are in no wise to faile at their utmost perill. Ordered that the Sherriffs give notice to the Vestrymen of each Parish within their respective Counties that they Omitt not to returne (by some of the Delegates of the Assembly) Copyes of their proceedings and this years account of the 40 p poll wherein they are to take care that the said Tobacco be laid out according to the directions of the Act of Assembly; as also return an exact account in what state their Churches now are, and tht the Sherriffs serve them severally with a Copy of this Order. Ordered that the Sheriffs give publick notice to all persons wthin their respective Counties that such as have any publick claimes to putt into the Assembly may prepare their accounts ready & make Oath to the same and send them up by the County Burgesses for allowance, as the Law in that case directs, wch (if neglected) they may perchance otherwise loose. Ordered that the Receivers of his Majtes Revenues within this Province prepare their accounts ready and be here with the same att the Assembly appointed to meet at the Port of Annapolis the 23d day of ffebury next in Order to make Oath to the Same and that they take all imaginable care for the due and speedy collection, of all fines and forfietures accruing to his Majesty within this Province. Ordered that the Treasurers of the Eastern & Western Shores of this Province prepare their respective accounts ready and bring the Same to the Assembly appointed to meet at the Port of Annapolis the 23d day of ffebry next in Order to make Oath thereto, and that they give strict charge to the
