Tenthly. You shall not make or allow of any by Laws usages or Customs in the Province of Maryland wch are repugnant to any of the laws herein before mentioned or any of them so farr as they do relate to the Sd Plantacöns or any of them or any other Law hereafter to be made in this King dom so farr as such law shall relate to and mention the said Plantations, But you shall declare all such laws by laws usages or customs in the Province of Maryland wch are anywise repugnant to the before mentioned Law or any of them to be illegall null and voyd to all intents and purposes wtsoever. Eleventhly. You shall be aiding and assisting to the Col lector & other Officers appointed or tht shall hereafter be appointed by the Comrs of the Customs in England by & under the Authority and directions of the Lord high Treasu rerof England or Comrs of the Treasury in England for the time being in putting in Execution the severall acts of Parlia ment before mentioned. And you shall cause due prosecu tion of all such persons as shall anywaies [hin]der or resist any of the said Officers of the Customs in the performance of their duty. p. 158 Twelfthly. You shall take care tht upon any actions Suits or Informations that shall be brought comenced or entred in the sd Plantations upon any law or statute concering the duties or Shps or goods to be forfeited by reason of any unlawfull importacons or Exportacons there be not any Jury but such as are natives of England or Ireland or are born in any of the said plantations. Thirteenthly. If you shall discover that any persons or their assignes clayming any right or property in any Islands or tracts of Land upon the continent of America by Charter or Letters Pattents shall at any time hereafter alien Sell or dispose of any of the sd Islands Tracts of Land or Properties
