Aequinoctial line or Aequator, as well in the Ocean and Medi- Lib. H. D. terranean Sea, as elsewhere; And lastly, after the tenth of March next ensuing beyond the said Line throughout the whole World without any exception or distinction of time or place, and without any form of Process, shall immediately, without damage, be restored to the Owner, according to the said treaty. And hereof all his Majesties Subjects are hereby Required to take notice, and to conform themselves thereunto accordingly. Given at the Court at Whitehall the 18th day of October, 1697, in the ninth year of his Majtys Reign God Save the King.

Whereas by one clause in an act of Parliament, made in the eighth and ninth years of our reigne Entituled an Act for making good the deficiencies of severall funds therein mentioned and for enlarging the Capital Stock of the Banck of England and for raising the publick Creditt. It is recited. That Whereas by an Act of Parliament made in the seaventh & eighth years of our Reigne Intituled an act for preventing frauds and regulating abuses in the Plantation trade It is amongst other things therein enacted That all the present Governours & Comanders in chief of any English Collonies and Plantations shall before the five and twentieth day of March 1697, And all who shall be made Governours or Cotnanders in chief of the said Collonies or Plantacons or any of them before the entring into their Governments shall take a Sollemne Oath to doe their utmost that all the clauses matters & things conteined in one act of Parliament made in the twelfth year of the reigne of the late King Charles the second. Intituled an Act for encouraging and increasing of Shipping and Navigation, And one other act made in the fifteenth year of his sd late Majtys reigne Intituled an act for encouragement of trade and also the said act made in the 7th & 8th years of our reigne Intituled an act for preventing frauds and regulating abuses in the Plantation trade be punctually and bona fide observed according to the true intent & meaning thereof so farr as appertaines to the said
