       The above sume of 585 lb 09s 09d acknowledged to be in the

     hands of Given under my hand & Seal

     in prseflce of his Mats honoble Council, the day

     & year above written              ffn: Nicholson

       Memd. That the Sume of 468 lb 13s 6d in the 2d lyne of

     Figures in this folio is a mistake for that 70566 lb tob at 13d p

     hundred am° only to the Suflie of £458: 6d So that the

     Balance due from Capt Holland is only £262: 18s: 2d

       May it please your Exncy.               p. 146

     Capt Tho: Vppon my arrival here I sent Mr George

     Ponds Letter to his Exncy & Browne one of my Volenteers to wait on your

    

     Ordr thereon Exncy to receive yor Cofliands

       This now informes your Exncy that I doe intend to Sayle

     hence for England (God willing) by the first of Ianuary, If

     your Exncy have any Shipps in your Governmt tht will be

     ready by that time, & be downe, shall be glad to take them

     under my convoy,

                    Novemr14th1697.

       Memorandm his Exncy did not receive the above Letter till

     the 12th instant, being (this day) pleased to ordr Copy thereof

     to be sent to the Severall Collectrs & Navall officers of this

     Province who are to give notice of the Contents to all Masters

     of Shipps, Merchants, and Traders within their respective

     districts.

       Vpon Representation that Mr Iohn Cood had imployed

     Capt Slye and others to receive severall of hjs debts due to
